We have three species of Mulberry: Red - Morus rubra (American), White - Morus alba (Asian), Big Leaf - Morus nigra (Pakistani) Originally used to make silk, the leftovers were fed to local farm animals. Now used everywhere to feed confined livestock. It's very nutritious and anti-inflammatory. When I was in St. Louis I always gave some to our colobus and langurs.
