Back around 1985, I saw a Sausage tree in downtown West Palm Beach. I got some seeds and planted a couple trees. They grow fast. They dangle clusters of huge orchid-like flowers all year. I discovered my Spur-legged Tortoises loved the flowers so the trees became useful. Now we find out that African antelope like to eat the leaves..too good to be true.
